Our Founder

Judith DeLury

In 2016 I left my job working for the Gila River Indian Community in Arizona as a GIS Technician and moved back to Indiana to care for my aunt who had dementia. I took the first job I could working in retail. Working full time meant help was needed. Companions, home health care, doctor appointments, hair appointments and much more all needed to be coordinated with my work schedule. My sister helped, but she lived 3 hours away. Our story is typical.

In 2015 there were approximately 43 million unpaid caregivers who care for their ill and/or aging loved ones. Today that number is 63 million and climbing. Life is complicated. Adding in caregiving takes complicated to a whole new level. The goal of LevelUp Meds is to reduce a part of that complication. Multiple caregivers taking care of multiple care recipients makes communication, organization and coordination imperative.

These needs (and more) sent me on the path to develop LevelUp Meds.  Purdue Ft. Wayne's Computer Science program has assisted with development of the current webapp. For 5 consecutive years student teams enrolled in the senior Capstone class have assisted in developing a web-based application to help caregivers organize, coordinate and communicate needs associated with caregiving. (Each year there is a new team.)

De'Ayshia Sinclair and Ronit Patel were two of those students (2023 - 2024). They believe in the product and have stayed on as full stack developers to assist with the webapp development and mentor the students.

2025 - 2026 Senior Capstone Team

LevelUp Meds 2025 - 2026 Senior Capstone Team

The senior Capstone Class is a two semester class. This team chose to work on the LevelUp Meds' proposed project. They updated and upgraded the old webapp. The team did a remarkable amount of work in a relatively short time. Check out their work and give the app a try. Let LevelUp Meds know where the hidden bugs are and what needs to be added. (There is currently no charge to use the app.)

New Webapp

Chance Biddle - Team Leader

Chance was the team lead for the LevelUp Meds Project. He added the ability to translate the web app into multiple languages by implementing Amazon Translate. He also added the ability to add multiple caretakers to each client's profile.

Mary Johnson

Mary implemented an audit trail to track medication management among multiple caretakers caring for one or more loved ones. She also added the ability to see recent activity including medication adherence and appointments.  Mary made working working cases to test and track the changes made.

Cayla Hale

Cayla's contribution was an adherence feature that managed how doses were logged and tracked. Her work makes it possible for multiple caregivers to track who gave which loved one what medication and when. This is designed to lessen miscommunication between caregivers that could result in too much medication given or no medication given.

Tamunoibigoni Inye-Tam

Tam updated how the calendar displayed pertinent information by improving the calendar functionality. He also improved the chat feature. How alerts to new notifications and the notifications page are also improved.

In Tam's words:

" I'm a Full Stack Developer who thrives at every layer of the stack - from designing scalable cloud infrastructure to crafting responsive, user-friendly interfaces. I specialize in Next.js, React, Node.js, and AWS, with a passion for building systems that are as reliable under the hood as they are smooth on the surface. I enjoy tackling challenging problems, whether that's optimizing performance, architecting backends, or bringing a polished UI to life."
